<div>Supporting the Mental Health of LGBTQIA+ Veterans, Service Members and Military-Connected Family Members</div><div style="margin-top: 20px"><div style="margin: 20px 10px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 22px;font-weight: 400;text-align: left;"><p><strong>Location:</strong> On demand recorded webinar - 1.5 Hours</p><p><strong>Intended For:</strong> Mental health professionals, social workers, therapists, psychiatrists, and medical professionals</p><p>This workshop will explore the unique needs of LGBTQIA+ military-connected individuals, including current service members, veterans, and families. The focus will be on understanding how sexual orientation and gender identity intersect with military culture and how this has changed throughout the reversal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and the ban on transgender service members.</p><p><strong>Clinical Objectives: </strong></p><p>By the end of this workshop, participants will:</p><ul><li>Describe the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ military service members, veterans, and family members.</li><li>Identify biases and cultural barriers that may impede effective treatment for LGBTQ service members: Participants will become aware of their own biases and assumptions, and how they may impact the therapeutic relationship with military service members and veterans from diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Integrate strategies for addressing cultural barriers in treatment: Participants will learn practical strategies for improving communication and building rapport with military service members and veterans from diverse backgrounds.</li></ul><p><strong>1.5 CE's for Psychologists Nationwide; 1.5 CE's for LPCs in Virginia, and 1.5 CE's for Social Workers in NY, DC &amp; VA </strong></p><p>Full attendance is required to obtain CE credit.
