<div>This is an online trauma-informed art therapy group where members will learn healthy coping skills to help manage the impacts of trauma.</div><div style="margin-top: 20px"><div style="margin: 20px 10px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 22px;font-weight: 400;text-align: left;"><p>Group Description </p><p>This is an online trauma-informed art therapy group where members will learn healthy coping skills to help manage the impacts of trauma on their daily lives. The foundations of the program are art therapy and mindfulness practices that can support self-regulation. The group will also provide opportunities for members to connect and share their strengths and hope with each other. This group is open to adult (18+) survivors of interpersonal trauma/abuse and to all gender identities. There is no prior art-making experience required to join this group.</p><p></p><p>Participants in this group will have the opportunity to:</p><p>- learn new coping skills to manage the impact of trauma, stress reduction and increase self-awareness</p><p>- to create connections with others with similar experiences, so you can support and be supported in your healing journey</p><p>- the process of art-making, sharing your art can also help you build self-confidence</p><p></p><p>Facilitator</p><p>This group is facilitated by Ashtyn Ford, Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Registered Art Therapist (RCAT), recognized by the Canadian Art Therapy Association, alongside an assistant art therapist. Ashtyn Ford has 10 years of working as an art therapist and has facilitated numerous group art therapy for trauma survivors.</p><p></p><p>Care</p><p>Safety and inclusivity are our commitments to this group, to ensure this:</p><p>All discussion within this space is confidential, to make sure everyone feels safe in this space. This group will have a maximum of 12 participants to make sure you’ll have enough time to create art and share your artwork (breakout room in zoom)</p><p>Please find a quiet and private place to join the session.</p><p>Please be respectful to other group members, abuse of any type would not be tolerated.</p><p>We encourage you to attend all the sessions to get the most benefit, but of course, we understand that life happens! If you need to miss a session, please let us know as soon as possible.</p><p>*This group is not for individuals in active crisis.</p><p></p><p>FEE:</p><p>$330 plus HST ($55/ session, includes an art kit)</p><p>The art kit includes 3 types of art materials, different types of paper and materials, and a journal</p><p>*Covered under insurance plans that include psychotherapy in your plan</p><p></p><p>Once you complete payment, we will send over an intake form within 24 hours. Please complete the form as soon as possible.
