<div>This 3 hour interactive online workshop will consider the challenges associated with supporting young people bereaved by suicide</div><div style="margin-top: 20px"><div style="margin: 20px 10px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 22px;font-weight: 400;text-align: left;"><h3>This 3 hour interactive online workshop will consider the challenges associated with supporting children and young people bereaved by suicide. </h3><p></p><h2>Learning Outcomes</h2><p>You will:</p><p>• To gain a greater understanding of the additional challenges faced by children, young people and families bereaved by suicide.</p><p>• To develop greater confidence in providing support to, and communicating with, children and young people bereaved by suicide.</p><p>• To gain an awareness of how children respond to frightening events, and when further support may be required.</p><p>• To increase awareness of the effect on us when working with families bereaved by suicide and to explore ways of supporting ourselves.</p><p>• To gain information about Child Bereavement UK, other support organisations and resources available to support children and young people bereaved by suicide.</p><p></p><h2>Who should attend?</h2><p>All those whose work brings them into contact with young people who have been bereaved by suicide. </p><p></p><h2>Who is presenting?</h2><h3>Ann Rowland, Clinical Advisor &amp; Chartered Clinical Psychologist </h3><p>Dr Ann Rowland (C.Psychol) retired from Child Bereavement UK in March 2019 after 10 years as Director of Bereavement Support and Education, where she managed the bereavement support and education services offered by Child Bereavement UK across the country. These services included the training of professionals, the support sections of the website, the national helpline, family bereavement support services across the UK, and projects in areas of deprivation in England and Scotland. Ann is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience of working with children, young people and families facing a wide range of difficulties, in community and health service settings. Ann has provided training on loss and bereavement to the statutory and voluntary sectors both in the UK and overseas. In addition, Ann’s roles have included, service development, project management, supervision, consultation, audit and research.
