We hold space for ALL Black LGBTQ+ community. If you live at the intersection of being Black and LGBTQ+ you are welcome in this space. </p><p>For Zoom access information, please email:</p><ul><li>We recognize that the black and LGBTQ+ definitions are built on a colonized framework and has amplified a dominant narrative of white, cis, hetero supremacy. </li></ul><ul><li>Our aim for this space is to support the evolution of our identities beyond historical trauma. </li></ul><ul><li>This space is open for you to explore your identity, your history, where you came from, where you are and where you are going.</li></ul><ul><li>We welcome you to bring your entire self, regardless of where you are at in your journey.</li></ul><ul><li>We welcome those that are unsure of their Black queer identity.</li></ul><ul><li>This group is a space to learn and share about our collective experiences.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Comfort Agreement: </strong></p><ul><li>Welcome all genders and sexual orientation.</li></ul><ul><li>Understand that this is a gathering of community supporting one another, not a - clinical support group. </li></ul><ul><li>We offer a space of community care for the healing of colonial trauma. </li></ul><ul><li>Strive for everyone to feel welcome here, regardless of how you identify.</li></ul><ul><li>Respect each other’s differences and experiences. </li></ul><ul><li>Ask before giving advice, and speak from our own experience. </li></ul><ul><li>We encourage you to take space, and give space. </li></ul><ul><li>Encourage exchanges that are empathetic in and out of this space. </li></ul><ul><li>We practice the Ouch, Oops model of care.</li></ul><ul><li>We honour the group’s boundaries outside of this space by sharing lessons not stories. </li></ul><ul><li>Encourage everyone to self-advocate for their needs and simultaneously collectively work together to create a safe space. </li></ul><p>If you have any questions or accessibility needs, please email</p></div></div>
