NAMI LGBTQ+ Peer Support Group is a free, peer-led support group offering resources, peer connections, and advocacy to foster empowerment.
For individuals who personally consider themselves part of the LGBTQ+ community, regardless of if they have “come out of the closet” or not. This group is not intended for loved ones and is focused on support LGBTQ+ individuals directly.
NAMI’s support groups are unique because they follow a structured model to ensure everyone in the group have an opportunity to be heard and to get what you need.
- Free of cost to participants
- Exclusive to all members living (privately and/or publically) in the LGBTQ+ community
- Led by highly trained NAMI volunteers, self-identifying as members of the LGBTQ+ community.
- No specific medical therapy or treatment is endorsed
- Confidential
