Next Gen Black LGBT+ Futures: Public Focus Group

Have your say in shaping an empowerment programme to better support Black LGBT+ young people.

Just Like Us has secured funding to partner with Black Thrive CIC, launching the Next Gen Black LGBT+ Futures initiative. Following our recent launch event, we are now creating safe, peer-led spaces to hear your honest experiences and ideas for change.

As part of this next stage, we are hosting online focus groups to gather feedback on the Just Like Us Ambassador Programme and explore how it can be more inclusive, relevant, and supportive for Black LGBT+ participants.

We are keen to hear from young Black people (18-25) who’ve never experienced the Just Like Us Ambassador Programme about what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to change.

What to expect

• A 2-hour virtual focus group
• A safe, confidential space for open discussion
• Facilitated by an external consultant from Black Thrive Global
• Opportunity to influence real programme change
  

The session will be hosted by Rico Jacob Chace (he/him) from Black Thrive Global, ensuring an independent and supportive environment. Feedback can be shared anonymously.
