<div>Members meet weekly to gain support, learn about cultural factors affecting mental health/illness, and empower each other to live well.</div><div style="margin-top: 20px"><div style="margin: 20px 10px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 22px;font-weight: 400;text-align: left;"><p><em>*Registered attendants agree to be emailed with updates regarding the meeting for which they've signed up. You will NOT be added to the regular email subscription list unless you </em><a href="https://mailchi.mp/2a6ccd208c34/convivial-culture-email-sign-up" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><em>opt to sign up here</em></a><em>.</em></p><p><strong>Maia Delegal (they/them/theirs), certified Peer Facilitator, M.A. of Bioethics, and researcher of peer support services, will lead each week's session. They will welcome members to the group and introduce themselves to new members.</strong></p><p>The group guidelines will combine those suggested by a non-profit derived structure with guidelines developed collectively by the group.</p><p>Each session will begin with reviewing and amending guidelines, as necessary. </p><p><strong>Next, each member will share their 2-minute check-in. Members can use this time to introduce themselves, update members on their week, and share any other relevant information they choose. </strong></p><p>Maia will then facilitate the group discussion. We may use the<em> stages of reactions to traumatic event</em>s chart to help us guide us towards potential needs, along with the Cognitive Distortions review sheet.</p><p>Closing includes wrapping up discussion, a reflection practice, and a short meditation practice.
