But where do we even start?

According to the 2023 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ Young People, nearly 1 in 3 youths said their mental health was poor most of the time or always due to anti-LGBTQ policies and legislation. Fewer than 40% of LGBTQ young people found their home to be affirming, and 41% said that they had seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year. The numbers were higher among those who are transgender, nonbinary, and/or people of color.

Fighting the tidal wave of misinformation and targeted attacks can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. When we come together as a community to equip ourselves with facts and evidence-based research, we can make an impact and save lives.

Join Schuyler Bailar for a 2-hour workshop on supporting trans youth. Whether you are a parent or family member, healthcare provider, teacher, or someone who wants to know how to advocate for trans youth, this seminar will provide you with invaluable resources.

All are welcome, regardless of gender history. Cisgender (not transgender) folks are strongly encouraged to attend, furthering their efforts to support trans and other marginalized folks during this time. Fellow trans folks are, of course, also welcome; the seminar will help provide you with better tools to engage in conversations advocating for yourself.

Registration is $20. If this is inaccessible to you, please apply for a free scholarship ticket here! If you're able to donate (which will help provide free scholarship tickets for others) please purchase the donation ticket at $50-$200!

TESTIMONIALS FROM PAST WORKSHOPS

“A humbling lesson in authentic living.”

"The slides were perfectly made and very informative!"

“You have replaced some of my fear and anger with motivation to be better and try to make the world better for others.”

"Loved the layout, flow, amount of information without being too much, and all the additional resources given!"

"Schuyler's expertise is unmatched.
